Humph!

I got tagged. Actually I wrote "humph!" because "yippee!" is not very dignified.

Here are the rules: (i) Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog. (ii) Share 5 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. (iii) Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs. Let them know they are TAGGED by leaving a comment on their blog. ( I made a promise not to tag but I of course welcome anyone who wants to do this meme....and let me know)

Five random/facts about me: (I am assuming these should not be things I've blahgged about before)

1. I'm the only person I know who tried, and failed, to belong to PFLAG. I don't know what happened to the form I mailed in, or what part Canada Post played in the process, but having written this random fact, I am inspired to try again.

2. I chipped one of my front teeth abut 10 days ago (that is not the random/weird fact) and I can't bring myself to call my dentist about it. I'm not afraid of going to the dentist, I'm afraid of making the call. Go figure.

3. I am about halfway through my project of growing a long grey braid so that I can match my dream self, but now that I find Angelina Jolie has a braid for a weapon in Beowulf, I'm reconsidering. I don't want anyone thinking I'm an Angelina-hair wannabe.

4. Having just read PEOPLE magazine's sexiest man of the year issue, and no! no one made me do it, I am feeling justified, so justified. Among the SMOTYs are Denzel Washington, Johnny Depp, Jake Gyllenhall, Will Smith, David Duchovny, Jeff Goldblum, Jon Hamm and Chiwetel Ejiofor, all of whom are candidates for my dreamquests. Daniel Dae Kim is not there, but he was last year, so justified I remain.

5. To balance the shallowness of some of these facts, I have to say that I am presently studying to study Japanese, thanks to one of my blogging friends. I need to get myself into some serious learning habits, which of course is why I read PEOPLE magazine.

Good for you for playing along.

Out of consideration for my daughter and to accompany my wife (she gets the email newsletter), I have been to a meeting. Not everyone can say that.

Well, I think the braid project is a great idea and I hope you'll post a picture.
